Wedding and Relationship Blessings

A Wedding Blessing allows you to have your dream ceremony wherever you wish, whenever you wish. This is done through separating the legal aspect of marriage – the obtaining of the marriage licence – from the ceremony itself.  The Wedding Blessing is then totally free of any restrictions. 

Whether you are looking for a ceremony that is more traditional in form, a Handfasting or something totally of your own creation I can work with you to bring your perfect ceremony into being. It will be woven around your choice of readings, poetry and music; a true reflection your own values and beliefs.  I can also assist you in the creation of your vows.

A marriage licence can be obtained by going to the register office with two witnesses. You may choose to save your vows and the exchange of rings for your Wedding Blessing ceremony.  Or you could hold your Wedding Blessing at a registered venue and complete the legal formalities with the registrar on the same day. A Wedding Blessing can also follow a marriage in another country allowing you to celebrate with family and friends here in the UK.

Should you and your partner have different faiths we can work together to create a ceremony that is respectful of both traditions.

I offer:

• A free initial meeting to explore possibilities and see if we feel comfortable working together

• The preparation of a draft for your approval incorporating your choice of music, readings, poetry etc.

• Modifications of the draft as necessary until you are completely happy with your Wedding Blessing

• A rehearsal

• Conducting the ceremony on the day at the venue of your choice
